Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey is set to miss three rounds of the Premier League due to a foot injury.
The Ghana international suffered an ankle ligament injury in Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday, and will be out until at least October 24th.
Partey has been a key player for Arsenal this season, making 28 appearances in all competitions before his injury. He was named in the Premier League Team of the Week last week after providing an assist against Palace.
The 26-year-old has scored four goals and provided seven assists in all competitions so far this season.
Partey is not the only Arsenal player out injured this week. The Gunners have also confirmed that midfielder Aaron Ramsey is likely to miss the rest of the season with a knee injury.
The injuries come as Arsenal look to bounce back from their disappointing start to the season, which saw them lose both their opening games to Manchester City and Burnley.
With Partey and Ramsey both sidelined, Arsenal will need to rely on other players to step up and fill the void left by their absentees.
However, it remains to be seen how long they can continue without these key players, especially given the upcoming fixture list.
