Brest beat Le Douaron 1-0 in their final match of the season to secure promotion back to Ligue 2.
The match was played at Stade de la Licorne and saw Brest take the lead early on through a goal from Adil Rami. The victory means that Brest have now secured their place in the second tier for next season, while Le Douaron were left disappointed with their performance.
Brest coach, Thierry Laurey, praised his players for their effort in securing promotion, saying: "I'm really proud of my boys today. We worked hard all season and it's nice to see them rewarded with this win."
Le Douaron manager, Alain Giresse, expressed disappointment with the result, saying: "We didn't play well enough and we know we need to improve if we want to stay up."
Despite the loss, Giresse was still pleased with his team's efforts throughout the season, saying: "We gave everything we had and I'm proud of our fans who supported us throughout the campaign."
Overall, it was a disappointing end to the season for both teams, but Brest will be hoping to build on this success as they look forward to their return to Ligue 2.
