The Villarreal side showed their class in the La Liga match against Celta Vigo, scoring three times in the first half to secure a 3-1 victory for Villarreal.
In the opening minutes of the game, Villarreal striker Samuel Umtiti headed the ball past Celta goalkeeper Javier Alcántara with his left foot. The goal came from a corner kick that was played by midfielder Samuel Moya and the ball was driven into the net after a quick exchange of passes.
A minute later, Villarreal's second goal came as Samuel Chukwueze scored the opener from a free-kick following a pass from midfielder Samuel Moya. The strike was well taken by the winger who finished off with a cool finish from the edge of the box.
The visitors were unable to find the back of the net until the end of the half when they missed a golden chance through a poor clearance by goalkeeper Javier Alcántara.
In the second half, Villarreal continued to dominate the match as they continued to score goals at will. A minute before halftime, Villarreal's captain, Daniel Alves, scored the third goal of the game from a corner kick. This was followed by Samuel Chukwueze scoring again in the 47th minute after being fouled in the box.
The final product was a 3-1 win for Villarreal, who will look to build on this result when they face Real Sociedad in the Copa del Rey next weekend.
