The Los Angeles Lakers have made another significant move, signing former All-Star point guard Rondae Hollis-Jefferson to a two-year contract extension. The move comes after the team's season was cut short due to injuries and COVID-19 protocols.

Hollis-Jefferson, who has been out of action since last season, is excited about his return to the team. "It's an honor to be back with the Lakers," he said in a statement. "I'm grateful for this opportunity and I can't wait to get back on the court."

The Lakers were left without a point guard after the trade that sent Rajon Rondo to Boston, leaving them with only Luke Walton at the position. With Hollis-Jefferson returning, the team hopes to improve their defense and create more scoring opportunities.

Hollis-Jefferson has spent most of his career with the Milwaukee Bucks, where he averaged 8.7 points and 5.2 assists per game. He also played for the New Orleans Pelicans and the Charlotte Hornets before joining the Lakers.

Despite being out of action for so long, Hollis-Jefferson believes that he still has plenty of gas in the tank. "I feel like I'm still getting better every day," he said. "I'm ready to go and help my teammates win some games."

The addition of Hollis-Jefferson is expected to strengthen the Lakers' already talented roster. With the NBA playoffs just around the corner, it will be interesting to see how the team performs under his leadership.
