In the latest round of the China Soccer League (CSL), Henan Jianye took on Dalian Pro at their home ground, which was expected to be a tough match for both teams.
The first half of the game was a close affair as both sides tried to dominate possession and create chances. However, it was Henan who managed to break the deadlock in the 47th minute when striker Li Xiang scored from close range.
Dalian responded with a goal of their own three minutes later through midfielder Liu Shengyuan. The game remained level until the 81st minute when Henan's defender Guo Zhigang was sent off for a second yellow card, which gave Dalian a penalty kick.
However, Henan goalkeeper Wang Zhen made a stunning save to deny Dalian any chance of equalizing before the final whistle. It was a hard-fought victory for Henan, who will now look to continue their good form in the remaining matches of the season.
